Club FacilitiesWe are situated in Bassett Street in conjunction with the Wanganui Tennis Club, opposite Wanganui City College sports grounds. Full changing and shower facilities available. Ample parking is available on Bassett Street. Courts We have 5 courts. 1-4 are traditional concrete wall courts with viewing platforms above. Court 5 is our glass back court with a viewing gallery to cater for up to 100 people. Court BookingsThe booking sheets are available as you walk in the front door. Please keep to booked times and if you are unable to turn up then have your booking deleted. Club rules state that if you are 10 minutes late you forfeit the court. Please restrict your bookings to a maximum of 2 in advance. Time LimitsOn court time is as per stipulated on booking sheets. Court bookings are of 45 minute duration. When your time is completed your game ends immediately, court lights will automaticall shut off at the end of the 45 minutes from when you swiped your cards. Membership CardsYour card entitles you to use the club facilities. It gets you into the club and it enables you (with your opponent) to switch on the court lights. Your card is important – look after it. BarThe hours are: You may be asked to go behind the bar at some stage – please do not say no because you have never done it before – it is not hard and there are generally people who have done the bar duty drinking who can help you if you are unsure of anything. Your contribution is greatly appreciated, please do not leave it up to the regulars even doing it once a year will help. Your subs include the use of the bar and the prices are reasonable so please use it. A range of alcoholic, non alcoholic and sports drinks are available, along with a selection of chips, chocolate bars and pies. LoungeThis is available for hire for private or corporate functions. KitchenOur kitchen is open during tournaments with a wide array of food for purchase and at very reasonable prices. Thumpsports Pro ShopSituated in the clubs foyer they have everything you may require. You can also make arrangements to get your racket restrung if you are unfortunate enough to require that service. Their opening hours vary throughout the day and evening.
