Hirage of Club

The Club lounge is a great venue for meetings, conferences and social gatherings. If you are thinking of hiring our lounge/bar facility the Hire Agreement form must be completed and the Terms and Conditions met.

Terms & Conditions

No hiring is to be authorised that conflicts with normal Club activities, such as Club nights, Tournaments and Interclub. All applications for hire are to be made in writing (Minimum 1 months notice) to the Club Administrator at Wanganui Squash Club Inc, 8a Puriri St, Gonville, Wanganui. Applications will be considered from both Club members and non-members

Hireage Requirements

All successful applicants for hiring of Wanganui Squash Club Facilities will be responsible for:

  • Payment of all hire fees.
  • Maintaining the condition of the premises during the period of hire.
  • The full cost of any damage that may arise during the period of the hire, including forfeiture of bond.
  • Cleaning the premises immediately after use. This includes:
    • All rubbish cleared into the Bins provided.
    • Floors are mopped and carpeted area vacuumed.
    • All property and food brought into the club removed
    • The facilities to left in a clean and tidy state.
  • Compliance with all regulations and license that apply to the Club and its facilities.
  • Maintain good behaviour within the premises and will not cause or permit disorderly conduct or nuisance to arise.
  • No items are to be attached to any of the clubs walls, ceilings and floors that could cause permanent disfigurement. If unclear please discuss with the Club Administrator first.
  • Wanganui Squash Club has a “Smoke Free Policy”

Bar Use

The Wanganui Squash Club will provide qualified bar staff for Functions that require the use of the bar facilities. Hours of Hire Normal closing hours, as provided in the Club bar License, are to apply to the hiring of The Club Premises and are to be strictly applied. The closing time is 1am with the Premises to be vacated by 1:30am.

Hire Rates

Meetings, Workshops and Conferences $10.00 per hour or $50.00 per Day (up to 5pm).
Social Functions (Mainly Evenings) $150.00
Bar Person $60.00
Special License Fee $30.00
Cleaning Charge (if premises left uncleaned) $30.00
Bond $200.00
Refundable within 7 days if Club is left in an undamaged tidy and clean condition.

Confirmation of Booking will be made when payment as above are received. Cancellations received more than 2 weeks out from booking will receive a Full refund. 8-14 days notice 50% refund. 7 days and less, no refund.
