2008 Finance Point Squash Series - Round Three The third round of the Finance Point series took place on Tuesday with 2 of the results going to count back, this has lead to the point’s table closing up, Wattie’s still lead on 36 points. The Match of the round turned out to be a thriller between Craig Morrison and Derek Tankersley, with Tankersley earning himself “Player of the Night” with a come from behind victory over Morrison. Other notable results saw Blair Landers beat Ben Murphy 9/4 in the 5th after being down 2 sets to nil, and the welcome return from injury of Brendan Murphy who put up a good effort losing to Matt Nation 9/3 in the 5th. Wanganui players in action saw Ant Rountree continue his great form of late with a great 5 set win over Geoff Spencer, John Rostenburg & his partner beat the Wanganui pairing of Nihi Houia & Rountree in 4 sets. Also impressing was team sponsor Matt Doyle who with his doubles partner Grant Smith took out their 3rd consecutive win on a trot.
